Punjab Police, Information Technology & Telecommunication Wing is inviting application from the eligible candidates for 388 posts of Constable (Operator/ Hardware/ Software). 1. Constable (Operator): 244 Nos.
Educational Qualification: 10+2 (with Physics as one of regular subjects) with at least six months basic computer course OR 10+2 (with Physics as one of the regular subjects) and B.Sc. (I.T.) or Bachelor in Computer Applications OR
Matriculation and Diploma in Computer Engineering / Diploma in Electronics & Communication Engineering (Duration 3 years) OR Graduation in the field of Electronics / Electronics and Communication
Age Limit: Minimum-18 years and maximum-28 years as on 01.01.2016
Pay Scale: Rs.10300/- Rs.34800/- and Grade Pay Rs.3200/- and other allowances

2. Constable (Hardware): 72 Nos.
Educational Qualification: Matriculation and one year certificate course in Computer Hardware and Network Maintenance with one year practical experience to be certified by Labour Officer concerned ORMatriculation and Certificate Course in Information Technology & Electronics System Maintenance (Duration 2 years) or Certificate Course in Information & Communication Technology System Maintenance (Duration 2 years) OR Matriculation and Diploma in Computer Engineering / Diploma in Electronics & Communication Engineering (Duration 3 years) OR Graduation in field of Computer Engineering
Age Limit: Minimum-18 years and maximum-28 years as on 01.01.2016
Pay Scale: Rs.10300/- Rs.34800/- and Grade Pay Rs.3200/- and other allowances

3. Constable (Software): 72 Nos.
Educational Qualification: Matriculation and one year certificate course in Computer Operator and Programming Assistant and with one year practical experience to be certified by Labour Officer concernedOR 10+2 and ‘O’ level Computer Course OR Matriculation and Diploma in Information Technology(Duration 3 years) OR Graduation/ Post Graduation Diploma in field of Computer Science / Software engineering / Information Technology/ Computer Application.
Age Limit: Minimum-18 years and maximum-28 years as on 01.01.2016
Pay Scale: Rs.10300/- Rs.34800/- and Grade Pay Rs.3200/- and other allowances

Note: Candidate must have passed Matriculation examination with Punjabi as one of the compulsory or elective subjects or any other equivalent examination in Punjabi language.

Upper Age Relaxation: Upper age limit is relaxable by 05 years for SC/ST, 03 years for OBC and 10 years for PWD category. Ex-Serviceman & Others, if any – As per Govt. norms.

Physical Standard: 

Height: Male- 5.5 inch, Female- 5.1 inch

Candidates’ Selection: Selection of the candidates will be through Preliminary medical test / Drug test / Dope test, Physical Measurement Test and Written Test.
